And so today, on this glorious Thursday, Priestess Tarot pulls out the Knight of Arrows, represented in this deck by a Hawk. He’s a handsome fellow. Majestic, swift and one of nature’s perfect killing machines. I’ve seen pictures and movies on the television where Hawks plummet like a bullet from a gun to catch their pray. Fantastic and powerful, I’m in awe of these creatures.
I got the wren yesterday, which was a subtle reminder to study and learn (a hint so subtle it wasn’t until I read the book that I understood that!) so today I looked in the book to see what it said. The Reading Points say this:
A quicksilver messenger of fate, the Hawk can help and support you to see through layers of doubt and uncertainty to the problem at the heart of the matter. Be swift and subtle and use your common sense to progress.
I do not class the Hawk as being subtle. The wren, yes, but not the Hawk. Perhaps I need to think that way and see how it progresses? I’ll let you know.
Some of the Tracks and Pathways with this card are:
Heroism, Disputation, Subtlety, Clear-sightedness, Impetuosity, Anger, Holding a grudge, Valour
Now, I am someone that can hold a grudge. I try not to these days, the effort is better used elsewhere 🙂
