Today, the Six of Stones comes out to greet us. As a card that is drawn near the Autumnal Equinox, I find its message quite unique. It is a card to remind us not to over-use things within our grasp, to take care of ourselves and our environment and to not expect things to come to you without some hard work and input on your part.
In the background, a fire rages towards a father and daughter, who hold their hands out expectantly. The hives they tended are broken, the bees have moved on, the land is spent, their tools lie broken on the dusty ground. Still, they wait, expecting a hand-out.
Like these people, if they want fed, go and find your food. No one is going to hand it to you on a plate. No one is going to hand anything to you on a plate. Move on.
Like marriage, this cards says: Work for it! And on my wedding anniversary, what a message for the next 9 years!
