Wildwood COTD : Major #2: The Seer

On this Sunday, after a hectic day, I get the chance to briefly write my favourite card of all time, regardless of the deck she comes out of: Major #2, The Seer or High Priestess.

She’s the lady that is that quiet voice in the back of your head, the sudden but quiet impulse that says: Now. She’s the feeling you get when something is right, and equally, when it’s not. She’s the instinct we all trust, but mostly never put a name to.

She’s also the epitome of most Tarot Readers: The veil between light and dark, the hint that something is coming that is good, or bad. She’s your intuition, the voice that says: Run or Hide!
I am glad you’ve asked me to be yours. If only briefly.

  1. I completely agree with you about feeling the Seer (or HP) is the epitome of being a tarot reader – I was shocked when Barbara Moore said she doesn’t much like her! Makes me realise there are different ways to read the cards… Still, this lady is definitely what I aspire to πŸ™‚

    1. It stuns me that Barbara Moore doesn’t like the HP! Makes me wonder how she’ll be drawn in Barbara’s new deck, The Steampunk Tarot! πŸ™‚
We’ll see though, as that deck is on my wish list πŸ™‚

  2. Hello Lovelies! It IS shocking, I know. But it is a year later now and the High Priestess and I have been making progress. I’m sure we’ll be fast friends before too long. As for how she looks in the Steampunk Tarot…she looks amazing! Maybe I’ll post the picture to my blog soon. Or not. I’m kind of saving her πŸ™‚ Because I’m a tease like that!

    1. Barbara sweetie, I am glad you’ve made progress with this lady! And yes, you ARE a tease about your new Steampunk Tarot (but then you’re allowed to be, it IS yours!) and given the images I’ve seen of some of the other cards, she’d better look as amazing as your Knight of Swords!

But I am very much looking forward to this deck πŸ™‚
