Wildwood COTD : King of Vessels

Today’s Card of the Day is the King Vessels, represented in this deck by the Heron. Heron’s are elusive birds and I’ve struggled to photograph the one that lives in the pond near where I live. But that’s a whole different story! For today, what advice can this card give?

Card of the Day
The Heron

Herons, when they take flight, are clumsy birds and they’re clumsy in flight too, however, they’re fantastic fish catchers, they’re patient for one thing. They’re easily scared, but they can sit so still for ages and as such are very patient. They’re very in control of their emotions and know exactly when they can strike to get what they want.

Which sounds a little like today. I had an old school friend, who I have not physically seen for some 17 years, come to visit. It was so great to see her! She bought with her, one of her best friends who entered my secondary school’s 6th form as I went to college, so we never got to meet. Until today. However, the four readings I did for these ladies went really well! It was surprising in some cases and yes, hankies were needed, such were some of the revelations. In some ways, I felt bad that the hankies were needed, but in others, I am not, for I know that crying and letting go of emotions are often the start of the healing process.

To my two visiting friends today: Fantastic to meet you and catch up / make friends and I wish you both success and much healing! Next time, lets remember the cakes!!
