Today's Card of the day is another jumper and is the Five of Bows with the key word of empowerment. I often see this card in the RWS as a card of conflict, but not in this deck. It's part of the reason why I love this deck so much!
As you can see, we can see the Abbas Giant etched onto the hill. He's holding a bow while there are four new, unstrung bows on the hill before us, seemingly at his feet. We are however, within reach of our own empowerment.
Now, the penny for me today has dropped that I am self empowered. I think my head has been in a huge ball of cotton wool, so much so that it has not dawned on me to take the spark of inspiration of others to fuel my own light and energy. Why now? What's changed? I have changed. I am taking that power, thank you very much! It was mine all along, why I suppressed it, the Goddess alone knows. But I know it's mine now, like Buffy holding the Slayers Axe before she and the others take out the Hellmouth.
Even Faith recognised that the Axe held power, she felt that it was hers. And now I feel it to. Only, my weapon was never something man-made: It was me all along. I am mine, me: and it's back in my control. Thank you very much!
