It's a Tuesday but the Wildwood has other ideas about knuckling down to work today! For some reason, it's decided today is the day to have a wee party! Where's my invitation, huh? Oh, it's for the men folk, the hunters. Not the women gatherers. Bah!
But is The Wildwood that stereotypical? I somehow doubt it, but lets explore this new card a little more, shall we?
The book suggests that hope comes from being with friends, no matter what gender you are. The card shows eight merry men (a hark back to Robin Hood's Merry Men?) communing with their trusted friends, family and comrades. These men have gathered in a safe place, a sanctuary. It acknowledges the shared consciousness of the human spirit and the bonding experiences that all humans need.
Now, the book says, it's time to be thankful and to express and receive love. The book a kins it to an emotional state, but that is easily done when you're happy, grateful and alive.
So today, that I feel is the message. To quote the final phrase from the book:
I revere the fire that forged these relationships and I give thanks for the love that endures through life.
What a great sentiment to start the day with! And adding to that sentiment, I am here to help you, if you need it.
