Today we get The Wildwood remind us to take a rest from the hubbub of life, at least, mentally. It’s time to switch off, chill out, relax and in general, mentally disconnect for a while.
Life is so fast paced these days. There’s almost instant connection to people around the world, on the same mental thoughts and platforms in which we operate. However, it’s very draining to be connected all the time, and at times, we need to mentally switch off.
How do you recharge your batteries? This chap does what most of us want to do, sleep. There are other ways to recharge our batteries, reading, lounging in front of some mindless television, reading a book and mentally escaping the situation you have at hand is also a way to rest.
So today, the question is: What do you need to do in order to rest?
For me, it’s getting late here in the UK, so I plan on an early night, snuggled into my bed, feeling the baby move (or more accurately, feel it use my bladder as either a punch bag, or a pillow) and sleep until the alarm kicks in tomorrow morning, later than usual.
So today, before the weekend hits (and if you say it’s a time of rest, you come and join me so I can rest!) the message is to rest up. Message received, I hope!
