Wildwood COTD : Major #18, The Moon on Water

Today, The Moon on Water (or the Moon card from RWS decks) comes out to join me. It’s a card about using all and any intuition and psyche, to trust in that intuition, the muse, the spark that joins things together.

Is the Moon reflected in the water? Is that an egg in the water, reflecting the moon light? Take a look, what do you see? I see a lot of potential, there are a lot of things going on that I just cannot quite see or make out. For now, I do not need to know what they are, I’ll find out when they come to me or I get to them.

I do plan on doing a meditation tonight to try and meet my own Spirit Guide. I have tried before and not met them. Perhaps this time, I will be more successful in doing so. It’s time to trust: I’ve got to trust this thing called Intuition.

  1. Beware of traveling to far with you mind, inspiration and clairvoyance both of which the card hints can be found in obsession and lunacy as well. I found the phases of the moon interesting, they hint of patterns in life, not only the female menstrual cycle, but all patterns life places on us. To see the patterns gives us options to follow them, break away from them or sometimes just to accept them.

    My 2 cent.

    1. I am hoping not to go any crazier than I probably am already! Now, I claim not to be clairvoyant: others disagree with me but despite me trying before to talk with and meet my Spirit Guides, I have not been successful. I hope I am tonight with the full moon, this card and sheer dumb luck. I will try and be careful about the madness and try to spot the patterns. I’m sure that they’re there, but I’ve not paid them much attention, for various dumb reasons so far.

But you’re right about the female menstrual cycle too…. This card does usually come up around this time of the month.

Thanks for the 2 cents! How did you find the blog post? Just interested 🙂
