Today, the beat of nature booms loudly to us in the shape of The Stag, which is the eighth Major of this deck. As commented before, he would be Strength in RWS decks, but in this, he beats to the tune of nature.
Today though, I have felt the urban beat far more! We’re “on a mission” at the moment, with only six days or so to go before Christmas descends upon us. We’ve become animal like, hunting in the same areas (super markets, shopping centres, town centres) for that vital piece of fresh fruit or the ideal present. The beat of the drum gets louder and louder as “the big day” approaches.
It is always a mad dash at the end on the run up to events we find important, as we try to ensure it is all just “perfect”. But the question today is: do we find these events important for the right reasons? Why do we do what we do? Surprisingly, I am quite calm about certain things and frantic about others. I know that tomorrow, I can get certain things done with the eldest off-spring around and the others can be done when both my children are in bed. There is no use in getting into a state over it, for I know it does no good. I have the grey hairs to prove it! And the thought of heading back up to “Hell” is just so not worth it!
