Wildwood COTD : Ace of Bows

Today, hump day, the extra day that isn’t March 1st, is the Ace of Bows, the Spark of Life. I heard something on the radio the yesterday morning (Chris Evans, you have a lot to answer for matey!) about Bridget and St Patrick (Ireland) agreeing that an extra special day was granted to women who had waited too long for their men to propose. You can find that little ditty, here.

Ace of Bows ~ Spark of Life

I didn’t think it had stemmed from that far back, or that St Bride even knew St Patrick! So far, I’ve found this link with some other nice information in it for February.

So that brings us onto the Ace of Bows, the Spark of Life. What has sparked you today? Mr Evans sparked me yesterday, both with this statement and the pause for thought at around 9:20.

But, back to Tarot, which is what we are here for. What does this card say to you? To me, it’s a spark, caused or created by creativity, of enthusiasm, a thought coming from passion, not emotion, a want to do something. Bows in this deck are Wands in RWS, so it’s your creativity, passion, fire, drive, the fiery part of your spirit coming forth.

I am so looking forward to this striking today! I hope it’s not quite the bolt of lightning coming from the sky when it does hit, but a gentle epiphany, over a mug of tea.

    Hi Louise,
I received the spark today while out for a walk in the beautiful sunshine! It was my husband’s day off, so we took the baby and dog for a lovely stroll along the canal near our home, and we spent some time in the playground. My daughter enjoyed the swings, and the dog found an abandoned football, which gave him and my husband plenty of entertainment. It was very relaxed, very peaceful, and reminded me how wonderful it is to enjoy the simple pleasures in life.

What a wonderful sounding day! Enjoy it! How old is your baby?

It was! And we will do the same again today. She is 13 months old.
