Today, on Easter Sunday, we have the Five of Stones come out to join us. And already, I feel it’s going to be a long day! The key word with this card is: Endurance.
As you can see from the image of the card itself, we see a little child, about the age of my eldest (5 or 6) sheltering down in the mouth of a cave, having lit a fire. He (or she) huddles in the simplest little cloak that he has on his back, trying to protect himself from the elements.
I often wonder with this card, is the child there of their own free will, or have they run away and have found somewhere to shelter for the night. Whatever the reasons, they’re in for a long night, especially with the thunder storm looming in the distance.
With two very active little boys on a day that chocolate comes out to play, I can already feel that it’s going to be a long day. The amount of chocolate that they’re going to consume is going to be stratospheric , but isn’t that what today is all about?
Maybe, maybe not, but this child is just getting on with things, he’s not fretting about how much he’s eaten, whether he’s warm or not. He’s not stressing about the structure of the day, that certain things happen in a certain order; maybe I should take a leaf out of his book and just go with the flow, sit out today and just endure the turmoil’s that having two kids high on a chocolate in take might send my way. Oh, the joys of Easter!
I’ll let you know how tomorrow goes when it happens!
