Today on Sunday, we have another arrows card come and join us, but this time, it is the Queen of Arrows, or the Queen of Swords in RWS terms.
As the image suggests, we get a look over one’s shoulder as she glides away. One appears to be graceful, but you never quite know just how hard one is paddling underneath.
This Queen will give you direct answers, she’s not afraid of fluffing up those lovely white feathers of hers and stand her ground if she must and it won’t take much for her to do it either.
The deck’s book suggests that there may be a state of separation in existence, which may have its sorrows, privation (a state in which things essential for human well-being such as food and warmth are scarce or lacking OR the loss or absence of a quality normally present) or misfortune. The book also suggests breaking old bonds and finding new rivers in which to swim if you are to move beyond the place of darkness and loss.
I also went looking for what Swans mean in the world of Shamanism, knowing that John and Caitlín Matthews use Shamanism a lot in their way of life. As usual, I landed on this site, to find that Swans list quite a few attribute, such as dealing with others gracefully, awakening the power of self and various others.
So today, on this Sunday, the hint seems to be to use your intuition and develop the ability you have further, trust in your own skills and have grace when dealing with others. And if you are not sure how or why, I am here to help.
