This post is rather late, but with good reason. It’s hard to sit down and write a blog post when you’re spending your day keeping a now 6-year-old entertained on the day you gave birth to him! Which makes the card for today rather pertinent, which is the Ace of Stones. It has the key phrase of “The Foundation of Life”.
The image of this stone makes me want to take steps back and see the rest of them: I have a feeling that it’s not alone, that it is in a family and I want to see the whole picture.
However, we can’t and we are drawn deeply to this one, with all its ancient painted cup-and-ring, labyrinth markings. Someone, somewhere, tried to record something on this stone: the markings were an insight, an inspiration, their language. Could this be the language of the druids or of an older race?
This is from the Stones suit, or Pentacles, so it’s about earthy things, money, the material world. This is a single stone, so the idea of having one foot in the material world is at play before us. Where then, is your other foot? In the ether? Connecting to the Cosmos? Lost in your imagination? Remember, we need to stay grounded and in the “now” in order to be of use. Yes, having ideas etc. are great, but how will they pan out / be applied in practical terms? I feel that the Earth is powerful, its full of information and connections to the past and a path to the future.
What are you material dreams? What I would personally like, is to have all the decorating done (laugh) and things prepared for the arrival this third (and final!) child! However, that is not going to happen with me sat on my behind, dreaming about it. So now it’s time to get on and get it done.
I recall the answer to this question: “What is the best way to complete an Elephant task?” The answer is to do a little at a time, take bites out of it here and there when you can. And any material desires need to be undertaken in the same way: one step at a time!
