Wildwood CotD : Ace of Vessles ~ The Waters of Life

The river runs, down into a pool of water that gives life to the animals that need sustenance from the water. The water in the Tarot relate to emotions, and Aces are the “new” start of that suit: so today, we have new emotional beginnings. Ooh-rah!

Today has been interesting. Whilst current youngest has been enjoying his nursery sessions, I took part in a sewing group today. I repaired items, rather than making something new, but I’ll be making something new next week!

What does this card say to you? To me, it was that the emotional support I sought was there, if I were going to be brave enough to put my feet into the water. That’s my usual trick, jump right in and see if I even like the water, never mind swimming in it! However, I have a skill both my children have inherited: I’m a social freak! I jump in, ask questions later. Even if I get hurt, I like to help out initially. It’s taken me a lot of years to ask first when it feels wrong, but when I jump in, it’s because I want to help, not for any selfish reasons. Like today, one lady needed black thread: there was none. I had taken my entire sewing box and out of it came two reels of black cotton. An hour later, the lady had finished making her flowing, black and white, patched skirt. It looked great!

My aim for today was to be open to the new experience before me in the shape of the sewing group. It’s the first time I’ve used any facilities from the local Sure Start since my eldest was six weeks old. It was time to re-engage and re-connect, so I did. Aces are a whole new start and sometimes, it can mean going over a part of the maze (think of the Labyrinth from The World Tree a few days back) that you’ve been through before, but need to again in order to learn, expand, emotionally grow. Have fun with that, I am!
