Today, the card was pulled from the deck by my eldest son, who has spent most of the afternoon sleeping and getting better. It’s funny, but I always look at this card and think of doctors in almost the first instance. This time though, I did not. I wonder why that is?
As late in the day as it is as I finish this post, some realisations dawn upon me. They are, in no particular order:
Kids get ill when they get ill. No point in being angry with them, even if they bounce back several hours later after a nap and give you a load of sas / attitude. If you really want something, save for it. If you don’t have the money, you can’t have it.
If something is broken, get it fixed. Especially if you can get it fixed for free!
Keep your head when all around you are losing theirs! Hard to do, but necessary some times.
So today, the message to keep things in balance, to be Temperance itself, was heeded. Even if it did get realised a little too late. It’s a lesson I have now going forward.
What has your day been like then? Has it been full of adventure? Or has it been quiet and mundane? I tell you, whatever it’s been, I find that the opposite is also need, so that we appreciate the adventure. Speaking of which, time I went and dreamt. Good night!!
