Wildwood Answers: 30 Day Challenge – Day 11

We continue with the 30 Day Blogging Challenge set by Ree at 78 Keys with today’s question of: What spread to you use most often/prefer and why?

The Celtic Cross Spread
The Celtic Cross Spread

I generally fall back into the Celtic Cross. At least, I use the cross-section of the Celtic Cross to find out where the client is at, what other influences are around, influencing the situation and then I can expand it from there, depending upon the question of the client. The first part of the Celtic Cross is perfect in my mind for this. It’s not the first time I have used that, then moved to a decision spread (like a pyramid) to answer where to go now and how their decision might work out. Here’s an image of the Celtic Cross.

The Wanderer

Now, given that the Wildwood comes with The Bow, The Tree of Life and the Wheel Spreads, you may be forgiven thinking that I’d use one of those more than anything with this deck. Here’s the thing: The Wildwood hardly ever gets used for Commercial readings. That’s not to say I’ve not laid the Wildwood out in a Celtic Cross manner, I have, but it’s been for personal use, rather than an evening / party setting.

So what card might you associate with doing something out of the ordinary or out of people’s expectations? The Wanderer comes to mind, but does any other card fit this bill from your stand-point? I am sure that there are a few, if not most / all of the deck!

The Wanderer is trusting, faithful, fool-hardy, carefree. The Wanderer will try things out that others are afraid to, just because the challenge is there, even if they have no idea on how they might do it: they have faith that they will succeed. Does this sound like an energy you need to borrow today? The Wanderer lends to you their carefree, go-lucky spirit. Use it wisely and have fun today!
